Kagura (神楽, “god-entertainment”). 神楽 Kagura refers to a specific type of Shinto theatrical dance predating the Noh Theater. Despite its being a ceremonial art before, it is now a living tradition, its rituals tied to the agricultural calendar and a vibrant Kabuki-like theater.
